St. John has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. And St. John beaches are almost all in the National Park, so they are protected from development. They regularly make it into the top 10 lists of various media, for example in “TOP 10 Beach on the Planet by Condé Nast Traveler” or Travel and Leisure Magazine. Usually Trunk Bay is named in those rankings, while it surely is a very beautiful beach, it is also the most crowded one and the only one. Go there early in the morning, around 8:30 AM or so and do the underwater snorkeling trail.
Recently Francis Bay made it into another ranking by Tripadvisor “12 clear water beaches you need to see to believe”
But don’t miss out on the other, lesser known beaches. By the way, our personal favorite beaches on St. John are:

- Jumbie Beach
- Salomon Beach
- Maho
- Francis
